In October, Judge Jones was honored in Youngstown with the inaugural Simeon Booker Award for Courage. Several members of our Inn were in attendance for the event. Inn members were also present at the Youngstown NAACP annual Freedom Fund Banquet.

Later in October, Judge Jones was in town for a signing of his new autobiography, Answering the Call. In his memoir, Judge Jones speaks of the struggles that have been the fight to end racial discrimination in the United States, from the court cases that ended school segregation, to the reactions to Ferguson, Baltimore, and other more recent events. Inn members had a chance to meet Judge Jones at a signing at Youngstown State University, where Judge Jones gave a synopsis of his book followed by a panel discussion.
