Eligibility

All judges, lawyers and law professors living and working in Mahoning, Columbiana, and Trumbull Counties are eligible for membership in the Jones Inn either as Benchers, Barristers or Associates. In addition, law students are also eligible for Pupil membership.   The Inn favors making the Inn experience available to as many lawyers practicing in the area as possible.

Meetings & Events
Meetings & Events
We hold General Body Meetings once a month, on the third Wednesday.  At these monthly meetings, we enjoy dinner and a continuing education program.  We aim to hold programs and discussions on matters of ethics, skills and professionalism in our effort to become more effective advocates and participants in the legal profession.

In addition to meetings, the Jones Inn also hosts several special events throughout the year including joint meetings with nearby Inns, community involvements events, educational observation opportunities and socials.

Mentoring & Fellowship
Mentoring & Fellowship
The Inn’s active members are divided into pupillage groups.  This provides Inn members with an opportunity to become better acquainted with other lawyers practicing in Northeastern Ohio.

The pupillage groups are the principle component of the Inn’s mentoring activities. Their diverse membership is intended to build an inter-generational relationship that encourages frank and personal discussion of matters of practice, ethics, civility, and all other aspects of the practice of law.  The most experienced members of the group are encouraged to pass on the best of the practice to the less experienced members. Accordingly, Masters are encouraged to provide their Associate and Pupil colleagues with opportunities to observe them in court, in deposition, or in the office.
